the apartment. This is especially true with students or professionals
who have moved to the city to try their luck. They would usually look
for apartments that are near their schools or places of work.
Some may also take into consideration their safety and would choose a
place that are relatively crowded. Some may also prefer having a place
where transportation is very accessible, where the subway is just a few
meters away.
3. Landlord and Neighbors
Of course, another consideration is the kind of landlord and the people
that you will have as next door neighbors. Remember that when you get
the place, you will be interacting with them. It is important then to
like your neighbors. Some prefer building superintendents that are
amiable and helpful especially when viewing the place.

This is one characteristic that will definitely not be absent in
anyone’s list. Everybody wants a big place where they can
stay. Some even take into consideration the view from the place. This
is also important for people who want to take in new roommates to help
in the paying of rent.
Some will also look into the furnishings in the flat as well as the

There are people who actually consider the furnishings as added bonus.
This is especially true with people who have no plans of staying long
on the area such as the case with a student. For these people investing
on furniture when they have no plans of staying is impractical.
